I just had a wonderful evening drinking, dancing, laughing and playing a star trek board game with my ex-girlfriend. That girl is awesome, we may have not worked as a couple but she had got to be one of the coolest girls I know and I cherish her friendship. She has an inner beauty that radiates out, it’s just a shame she doesn’t see it too.
It’s 6:44am on my day off and I’m wide awake.
My man works a 12-8am security shift so I spend those nights waking up every few hours to see that he’s safe by check my phone.
I worry, it’s what I do. Even as a little girl I was always filled with concern for the ones I love.
Some nights I just want to turn my brain off and sleep.

I am so incredibly lucky to be loved and cared for by such a wonderful man. It makes my heart swell.
